Meal Plans

What Meal Plans do you offer?

We offer a variety of meal plans to meet your on campus dining needs. Check out our Meal Plan page for a full list of offerings.

What type of Meal Plan is recommended?

We have two meal plan types, based on whether you live on or commute to campus.  Be sure to use our filter and sort functions to help choose your plan. . If you still need help choosing a plan, give us a call at or email us saccoj@farmingdale.edu.

How can I purchase a Meal Plan?

You can purchase your meal plan by clicking here, or by visiting the meal plan office in the Campus Center, right next to Starbucks.

Are Meal Plans required?

All students that live in campus housing are required to purchase a meal plan. While a meal plan purchase is not required for commuters, many students take advantage of the convenience and value an all Declining Balance plan has to offer.

What is Declining Balance?

Declining Balance dollars are accepted as payment at all on campus restaurants. They are loaded right on your Student ID card, so there is no need to carry around cash or another card! There is no minimum balance, over draft fees, or hassles!

How do I get Declining Balance?

Declining Balance can be purchased by clicking here, or by visiting the meal plan office in the Campus Center, right next to Starbucks.

Please allow 24 hours for the funds to appear on your card.

What if I want to change my Meal Plan?

Since all residents are required to purchase a meal plan, and meal options consist of the Carte Blanche or Carte Blanche Plan only, meal plan changes are rare. For questions, give us a call at 631-293-2778.

How do I get into the dining locations once I have purchased my Meal Plan?

Simply swipe your student ID card at the entrance to POP's and enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat meal in the dining hall. You can also use your declining balance dollars in any of our on-campus retail locations or to treat a guest at POP's. 


All resident students will automatically have their meal plan activated on their ID card. However, if you receive a new ID card your meal plan may have to be activated. Please visit the Dining Office located beside the WPS Starbucks in the Campus Center or ask to see a Dining Services manager. 

Can I carry meals over to the next semester?

Since the Carte Blanch plan acts like a membership and does not consist of regular “meals”, there are no meals to carry over to the next semester.  Once the semester ends, the meal plan ends, as does access to the dining hall.

Can I treat a friend to a meal?

To keep discounts as high as possible, meals are reserved for the meal plan holder only. However, you can always treat a friend using Declining Balance dollars.

What do I do when my Declining Balance gets low?

You can reload your Declining Balance at any time! Declining Balance can be purchased by clicking here , or by visiting the meal plan office in the Campus Center, right next to Starbucks.

Why do I have to create an account in order to check out?

For you, and us, to be able to best track orders, and to be able to contact you in case of a question regarding your order we ask that you create a CampusDish account.

How do I create an account?

Click the "Login" button, and then on the login page click the "create a new account" link.

How do I get a Promotional Code?

Unfortunately, we are not currently offering Promotional Codes. We may offer Promotional Codes in the future, so please check back periodically.

How do I use the Menu?

We have utilities designed to help your health. Use the Meal Calculator Box to quickly relate the nutritional information of two or more items. The Meal Calculator can populate the nutritional value of your meal. Use our quick nutritional icons to identify food with special preparation or contents at a glance.

Why should I select favorite locations?

Selecting a location will help us customize your experience on the CampusDish site.

A role will help us customize your experience on the CampusDish site.

Why are my products split into separate orders and why does this happen?

Two or more of the items in your cart are restricted by product type or payment method. In order to process the transaction, the items in your cart must be processed separately.
